| Worm is a malicious program code replicated automatically to various, often malicious, purposes. To the credit of worms, they may be useful. Worm, unlike virus, is indeed a self-replicated program that does not require any program to be replicated. Worm is distributed through the network and promptly infects many computers using every new system as a new distribution center. It may contain malicious payload and be aimed at damaging computer system or stealing personal data. |
